Tutorial round-up: Fluffy bunnies!

I love just about every sign of spring. Green tulip shoots popping up on my flower bed. Warbling songbirds outside my window. Huge displays of fresh asparagus spears in the produce department at the grocery. And adorable little bunnies on display just about everywhere.

Here's a round-up of some of my favorite bunny tutorials on the web. A couple have been on my stuff-to-make list for a while, and I spent some time this weekend cutting out fabric for little army of RevoluzZzionary Easter bunnies to sew up next time I get some time to sit down at my machine. (Photos soon, I hope!)

Weekend window shopping: iPhone dock

If I had $200 lying around, I would totally spend it on this docking station for my new iPhone. It would look so lovely on my bedside table!

Has anyone found any other great-looking docking stations for the iPhone 4? Bonus if they are for a budget-minded gal, you know, one who wants to spend significantly less on the docking station than she did on the actual phone!

I got a serger!

There hasn't been much sewing or other DIY-ness going on around here the last few weeks. The babies were sick. I was sick. It's been kind of miserable.

But, we're all feeling better now, and good thing, too, because look what arrived on my doorstep earlier this month!

New serger-1

Last weekend I spent an hour or so cleaning and straightening up my sewing studio, and making room for my new serger! Doesn't she look good in her new home?

New serger-2

Oh, serger, I have big, big plans for you. ... As soon as I figure out how you work.

The twins' nursery

The Mario quilt was my first big project of 2010. Here's the other one. The nursery!

I wanted, more than anything, for this room to be a very happy place. Because the arrival of two beautiful baby boys into our lives was a very happy thing! So I chose bright, cheery, primary colors and whimsical rocket ship and robot themed fabrics and decor items for the room.
